So ya get yer run of the mill belt sander and yer 40 grit sandpaper and ya take yerself on over to the Pickled Pelican Bar and Grill. This is where the fun begins! That's right, you race your belt sander in a special made track against other crazy folks who just love to do the same. then there are the spectators who have to stand back cause some times the Belt Sanders jump the track and then you could get hurt.

It rained all night and I figured that the great race would be canceled, but no, the sun came out and there were plenty of folks out to watch. Naturally being in Texas there was plenty of Texas BBQ and Beer. We didn't stay right to the end but watched enough to get the general idea. A fun way to spend the afternoon.

Colin decided to play a DVD he had recorded in our new player ......put it in......and the next thing you know there was a poof of smoke and nothing worked anymore. Our amplifier gave up the ghost......not sure why but it is done for! Oh well.....no TV tonight.
