CLEANING AND CRAFTING
I'm all clean!
Daddy always needs a hug from a clean dog!
My wine bottle project.
When I got up to go to aerobics it was REALLY COLD! Low 50's an it's suppose to get colder tomorrow. Yah! When I got back Colin was up and had our propane tank sitting out for fill up. Since it's so cold, better have them tanks full. It's only .11 per tank more expensive to have them come around and fill the tank versus taking it to a fill station. Heck we can't even start the truck to drive there for .11. Since it was a cold day I put on a big pot of beef stew in the slow cooker. It smelled great all day and was delicious at dinner time.
By the way Clyde's parents were thrilled that I had put him inside, they figure he slipped out as they were leaving to go out and have pizza. I love happy endings!
I did a really good vacuuming and washed the covers off the couch and did the rest of the laundry.
Colin decided to take Mexi for a walk and I decided to stay back and start bathing Splash. By the time I was done with her Colin came back with Mexi..........dirty filthy covered in mud and dirt from her walk........it has been raining alot around here. Within an hour I had two clean, brushed fluffy dogs......how nice!
Now to the crafting. Before Christmas when we were at the other park, one of their crafts for the week was a wine bottle made into a light. I thought it looked very neat but decided to put my own swing on the design instead of paying the $10.00 for supplies at the craft class. Besides buying garland at Christmas time is just too expensive. They wanted $5.oo for a length before
Christmas and after Christmas it was on sale for .89 cents.....that was much better. I have been nursing a bottle of White wine since before Christmas that I bought just special for this project. Since I don't hardly ever drink, it has taken me this long to empty it. (what was left made a great base for the beef stew) So the basic idea is, you take a string of battery operated lights, wrap them around the garland, stuff it into the wine bottle and then embellish the top of the bottle. I was very pleased with the outcome of my bottle, I also added a string of tiny gold beads around the outside which really added to the look.....at least I think it does! Another fun day!
