WALKERTON WEEK-END
One of the completed curtains. They looked so much better in real life.
The driveway looked like a Titanium Convention. Ed and Frances' nice new one in the foreground.
With the apartment work hopefully behind us for a little bit, we packed up the trailer and headed to Walkerton. I had promised Frances that I would do some sewing for her so this was the week-end. We arrived later in the afternoon on Saturday and got right to the job at hand.
Although the fabric that we had picked for the theatre curtains was perfect in colour and looks very rich, it was less than fun to work with. It curled slid and stretched and just was a general pain in the neck but with a little patience the results were wonderful!
I gave Frances a few lessons and soon she was sewing cushion covers like a pro! Over the course of a day and a half we got 3 curtains for downstairs done and a seat cover, 2 throw pillows 2 back pillows done for the couch in the new trailer. In my opinion they turned out very nicely!
In payment for my work Frances made some killer meals, one of Steak and one of Salmon.......very good!! They also bought me a stepping stone that glows in the dark to put up at the lot.
