GOING HOME

Mommy and Daddy.....very happy with their little man!

My sewing work set up at the kitchen table.

Sherri-Lyn's Aunt Cindy and cousin Sarah. Naturally they both fell in love with the sweet Baby Boy!

Leanne came to visit too. She was Cort's room mate in College.

Oh Gosh! I just can't take it any more.......I have to cover my face.

Daddy and Logan had a nap while Mommy and Oma went to get some groceries. When I woke up Daddy changed me ......some how things didn't go so well and I peed all over my little seat.....Bath time!

Pretty Rainbow off the back deck and Cort and Sherri-Lyn's house.

Such a sweetie!

It has been a great week with Cort, Sherri-Lyn and the baby. I had lots of hugs with my new grandson Logan Jaxx......he is such a cutie pie. Sherri-Lyn and I had a few good laughs......although that was not always good since Sherri-Lyn's incision is still healing. I did some sewing and also finished the blanket I started in Texas for Logan.

There was lots of company......Sherri-Lyn's aunt Cindy and cousin Sarah, and Leanne came on Saturday.

It will however be good to get back to Colin and the Puppies.....I miss them alot! Shelly and Luke are coming to Barrie tonight and Shelly is going to spend some time here with Sherri-Lyn and the baby and Luke and I will continue on up to the trailer. Given that the rain stops we should get lots done this coming week.

MY WEEK IN BARRIE

Mommy giving Daddy some pointers on successful bathing.

I think Daddy is doing a good job......

I think Daddy got as wet as me!

All clean, snuggled in my clean clothes and getting kisses from Daddy.

I arrived in Barrie on Sunday night. It was good to see my little family again. One week makes such a difference. Sherri-Lyn has been having some issues getting Logan to nurse but I think perseverance will pay off.......he is after all 3 weeks early. She is finding it hard to deal with, understandably.

I have been busy doing laundry and making meals and helping Sherri-Lyn with household duties.......with of course the fringe benefits of getting to have snuggles with my new Grandson.

Cort was given lessons on bathing Logan on Thursday night and that was just a whole lot of fun. Logan was great and enjoyed every minute........Cort was very nervous but did a good job.

Colin has been feeling sorry for himself being all alone at the trailer but everything should be back to normal when I get back.

PROGRESS UPDATE

My pretty flowers at the trailer.

A load of smaller logs for the Bunkie.

The comleted Septic System......just add grass!

The Master pointing out his work.

My piles of sorted wood from the footings.

The shop is coming along nicely.

The first top log finally in place.

The past week has seen great progress on the Shop. We have hoisted the top log on the back wall. The sides should be done by the end of the week and then we can continue work on the cottage.

I went down and took apart all the footing framing and sorted it all into burnable pieces and stuff that could be used again. I also built a new Picnic table .....which if I do say so myself turned out rather well. I think one more coat of Cetol and we will say it is done.

Colin has finished cutting the front pieces for the boat floor and fitted them in.

They also came and finished the Septic System and spread the top soil over it. Looks great! I installed a nice new clothes line over top of it so that will give me some place to dry my clothes out of the direction of the road and the dust that it stirs up.

BABY LOGAN WERNER.........HERE AND HEALTHY

This is Mommy and Daddy leaving for the hospital the day I was born.

This is Mommy before everything went a little crazy.

I like to snuggle with mommy!

Oma is very proud of me and Mommy.

Mommy and Daddy are so happy I am here!

This was just an exhausting day!

I just had to let everyone know that I could cry if necessary.......after all they were poking at me.

This is my new Nani ......I just know we are going get along just great!

Mommy is very tired but is very happy about the great job my nurse Cheryl did!

I think I am just soooo cute!

I have an Oma and she thinks I am just the neatest little boy ever!!

Daddy and Oma are so happy that I am here.

My new Daddy really likes me alot.

Here we are having our first Father Son talk!

I think Aunt Shelly love already.

I am very lucky as I have two brand new Aunts, Aunt Shelly and Auntie "T"

Cort and Sherri-Lyn left this morning at 7:30 for South Lake Hospital in New Market for the long anticipated birth of their son.

I stayed home till 8:00 and then went and picked up Sherri-Lyn's Mom. After getting ourselves prepared with a Tim's Coffee and a tea we were off .....Oma and Nani.... to go meet our new little grandson.

When we arrived at the hospital they had just hooked Sherri-Lyn up to her drip to induce the baby. All was going quite well. They came in to put in her epidural and from there on in things got a little scary! Baby Logan was adamant that he did not like contractions and when his heart rate dropped to 53 the nurses decided it was time for Sherri-Lyn to be taken to the OR for an emergency C-Section . At 4:04 PM they delivered a health 6 lb. 9 oz. baby boy, 20 inches long with lots of dark hair.

I am sorry I missed seeing him being born but very glad that everything was okay in the end. Mom and Baby were both doing well when we left the hospital .........the jury is still out on Daddy but we think he will recover.

ONE MORE NIGHT TO WAIT

One Crib........just add baby.

His rocking chair and antique car are ready to go.

Sherri-Lyn spent last night in the hospital as Baby Logan was misbehaving and they wanted to keep an eye on her.

They did a stress test in the morning on the baby and said that she could go home for the day but had to come back in at 4:00 for another stress test. This one was good as well so they said she could go home and sleep in her own bed where she would be more comfortable. She will be admitted tomorrow morning to be induced.

If all goes well we should have a baby boy by tomorrow this time. Stay tuned for updates and pictures.

YEAH! LOGS

McKenna haning out at the shower.

,The fish Balloon at Sherri-Lyn's Shower.

Fred enjoying some fishing on the dock.

The first drop of logs.

Colin's solution to working in the rain.

Getting ready to place a log.

We have had 2 drops of logs now and we have two courses of logs laid on the Shop. A lot of trial and error but better to make the mistakes on the shop rather than the house.

We had to go home to Fergus as Shelly and I gave a baby shower for Sherri-Lyn. Only 12 guest including the guest of honor but we had a nice time anyway. After wards we went out for dinner at the Mill which also was very enjoyable.

We have also had some more company. Fred and Wendy Gottmers came up for two days and we had a great time. We went for a nice boat ride and did some fishing, we tried the Golf Course around the corner and it proved to be quite nice and afterwards we went out for dinner at the Monetville Tavern. All in all an enjoyable two days. And now it's back to work.
