It is Monday night and our last night in the Condo in Fergus. The movers have taken all the stuff that is going out West and Colin's Mum left on Friday. Tuesday morning the Auctioneer comes to take the remainder of the stuff and then we leave the keys for the new owners. The Condo is all Spik and Span for the new people. Kind of sad to think that we will never be back here again to visit with Colin's Mum but it's time for a new chapter.

I am pretty sure Colin and I have conceded that the roof is not going to make it on this year. We had 5 good days in a row but it is slow going and now the weather has turned cold and wet again after a run of sunshine. We did manage to get the last interior wall up and the front corner is now done too. The beam in the kitchen is also up. We had to last load of logs delivered and the LVL's have also been delivered.

We are now down in Fergus to see Colin's Mom off to Lake Louise as she starts a new life there. After she leaves we have to meet with the movers to send all her stuff out there and then meet with the Auctioneer who will take all the rest of the stuff and sell it off. Then the cleaners will come through and new owners will take possession on November the 1st.

We will leave here on Tuesday to head back up to lot and see what the weather is doing. We will play it day to day as to when we will leave.

We finally got the rafter beams up for the bedroom ceiling.......awesome!!! I actually stood on them, which will be my sewing room. An amazing view!!

Colin also finished the block work for the center wall. I cleaned out the storage shed and took the screen room down off the dock. I also took the lawn chairs up to the storage and then burned a huge pile of wood scrapes. It felt good to have all that mess cleaned up.

On Monday we drove down to Cort and Sherri-Lyn's for turkey. Sherri-Lyn, Cort and Poor wee Logan were all suffering from a cold. Hopefully we don't catch it and they get better soon.

I was not at all happy about trying on my Halloween Costume.

After spending a week looking after Shelly and McKenna while Luke was up North with Colin it was good to get home again. Unfortunately they did not get a lot done as the weather was so terrible.....rain and cold and wind!

I think we have conceded that a roof on the house is not in our future for this year. Just too many things went wrong. We are still hoping to get the roof and shingles on the Shop so at least we have someplace to put the tractor, Boat and some supplies to start with in the spring.

Hopefully we can get all the log work on the cottage done so that we can brace it all together and keep it from warping.

On a lighter note, the fall colours are beautiful this year and Mother Nature is putting on quite a show.
