Splash gets very excited about the ball being thrown but Mexi is the one who brings it back.

That there is two very happy little dogs!

The stuff you see in the picture is not brush, but mountains of re-bar being pulled out of the rubble.

So after a winter of horrible weather we finally have had a few days of sunshine and warm temps. After going to aerobics we decided to pack some drinks and towels and head for South Padre Island and take the dogs for a run on the beach. The dogs thought that was a great idea!! They had a good dose of ball chasing and going crazy running in the sand. After removing as much sand as possible from the dogs and the humans we got back in the truck and drove to the end of the island. There was a huge condominium being built and it was discovered that it was settling and was deemed unsafe so it had to come down. They imploded it and have been busy hauling away all the re-bar and concrete a huge job. They have huge trucks hauling the debris away.....one after another lining up to be loaded. I am thinking that someone lost their job over that one! (You can see the actual demolition on You tube just google "South Padre Island Tower Demolition")

On the way home we stopped in Harlingen for some dinner and then on back to the trailer.
